Golf Course Maintenance – Groundskeeper

We are currently seeking a Course Maintenance – Groundskeeper to join our Course Maintenance team. Our Groundskeepers operate golf course maintenance equipment and complete a diverse range of tasks involved in golf course maintenance and construction. Our Groundskeepers operate powered mowing equipment and maintenance tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles. They also apply fertilizers and water to turf and/or ornamental areas; move and shape soil; move holes and tee blocks; and maintain ancillary service items as required. All Course Maintenance – Groundskeepers are willing and able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends; and have a genuine interest in helping all members and guests enjoy their Morningstar Golf experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position would:

• Be willing to be taught the proper and safe operation of mowers, trucks, and other motorized vehicles used in the maintenance of golf courses and turf areas
• Be self-motivated, able to work alone, able to follow oral and written directions, and able to use reasonable discretion in proceeding without having received direction from a supervisor
• Have a participating knowledge of the game of golf
• Have a valid Class Five (5) B.C. Drivers Licence
• Have the physical ability to perform all related duties in a variety of working conditions.
