Golf Shop Attendant

We are currently seeking a Full Time and Part Time Golf Shop Attendants who will join our Morningstar Golf Operations team providing day-to-day operational support in the Golf Shop. The Golf Shop Attendant role – depending on shifts worked – includes opening and closing the facility; processing of all retail and golf operations transactions; preparing end-of-day deposits and reports; booking and adjusting player tee times; assisting with tournament and league registration and organization; and providing exemplary customer service and support in accordance with Morningstar Golf Club standards and expectations.  Our Golf Shop Attendants report directly to the Head Professional and will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of the game of golf; be willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends; and have a genuine interest in helping customers enjoy the best possible experience while at Morningstar Golf Club.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position would:

• Demonstrate excellent communication and social skills being friendly, outgoing, approachable, and genuinely interested in establishing positive relationships and providing excellent experiences for Morningstar members and guests.
• Demonstrate excellent computer skills being able to comfortably navigate and use a variety of devices and applications including golf industry software (e.g. Lightspeed and Golf Genius) as well as word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the game of golf, rules of play, and league/tournament formats.
• Be self-motivated, able to work alone and/or unsupervised, but also as an engaged member of the Morningstar Golf Operations team.
• Have experience in retail sales and merchandising.
